Gary Palin featured speaker at RENT XXIII Conference in Hungary

Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was a featured speaker on Nov. 19 and chaired the plenary panel session launching the RENT XXIII Conference in Budapest, Hungary.

MBA students and alums form Consulting Group

The MBA Program is forming an MBA Student & Alumni Consulting Group that will focus on not-for-profit organizations. The goal of this group is to provide a wide range of business consulting services to not-for-profits from the home communities of MBA students and alumni from the Triad to the Triangle.

Love School of Business students Sarah Doggett, Caitlin McGuire and Charles McKenna competed in the Great Northwoods Sales Warmup competition, held Nov. 12-14 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. It was ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s first appearance in this regional sales competition.

Earl Honeycutt co-authors article

Earl Honeycutt, professor of marketing in the Love School of Business and director of the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center, co-authored an article with Vince Magnini of Virginia Tech titled “Use of E-Mail Signature Files in the Hotel Industry.” The article appears in the November issue (50:4) of Cornell Hospitality Quarterly.

Christy Benson publishes paper on auto bailout

Christina Benson, assistant professor of business law in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, had her paper, “Industry Bailouts: Will Protectionist Potholes Put a Dent in Trade and Competitiveness?” published in Competition Forum, a Cabell's peer-reviewed publication of the American Society for Competitiveness. The article appears in Vol. 7, Number 1 (2009).
