ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ team honored in global competition

Four ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ students have won recognition from Stanford University for their entry in a global contest that challenged teams to create something of value using nothing more than water bottles. Their video entry stemmed from the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Innovation Challenge, hosted locally by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ.

Issues in Political Economy, an undergraduate research journal co-published by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, where several students have used the annual publication as a springboard to graduate studies in some of the nation’s premiere economic programs.

Members of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority crafted a makeshift raft from discarded water bottles to win top prize this week in the inaugural ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Innovation Challenge, part of a global contest sponsored locally by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ students visit Nucor steel plant

A group of 30 students from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business witnessed firsthand the steel manufacturing process during a visit to a South Carolina plant owned by Nucor Steel Corp., currently ranked #4 in the Business Week Top 50 company rankings that has “long been known as the best operator in the steel business.”  

Honeycutt co-authors new marketing textbook

Earl Honeycutt, a professor of marketing and director of the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center, has co-authored a new textbook, "Sales Management: Shaping Future Sales Leaders," recently released by Pearson Prentice Hall, the world's largest publisher. 

Twenty-one teams sign on for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Innovation Challenge

Twenty-one student teams representing ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ and five other North Carolina universities will use water bottles to “create as much value as possible” during a week-long competition that kicked off on Wednesday and culminates Nov. 19 with a showcase event inside the Koury Business Center.
