ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's part-time MBA program in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business enrolled this fall one of its most competitive classes in school history, with the average student boasting eight years of professional experience at companies such as Kayser Roth, Motorola, Pfizer, RF Micro Devices and UNC Health Care.

Robert Pavlik, associate professor of finance in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, appeared on a live News14 Carolina statewide broadcast Sept. 24. He reacted to President George W. Bush's address to the nation on the financial crisis.

John Zeglis, retired chairman and CEO of AT&T Wireless, will be this year’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business “Legends of Business” speaker when he visits campus for a lecture titled “Lessons in Leadership from 30 years in the Eye of the Telecom Hurricane.”

Dozens of recruiters from regional and national accounting firms met with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students Monday evening in the Koury Business Center in what has become one of the largest events of the year for the Beta Alpha Psi finance and accounting honors organization.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Lambda Chi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has achieved “Superior Chapter” status and was recognized by the national organization this summer as the “Most Improved Chapter” for 2008.
