The Office of Parent Engagement and New Student Programs will host special in-person Parent and Family Orientation Sessions to give new families an opportunity to hear from President Connie Ledoux Book and a panel of senior administrators.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s newest students will begin arriving on campus on Friday, Aug. 14 during an extended and adapted move-in and New Student Orientation process leading up to the start of the fall semester.

In a panel discussion led by Naeemah Clark, coordinator for diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Core Curriculum, President Book and other campus leaders recently discussed the university's Common Reading book "Biased" by Jennifer L. Eberhardt.

The 2019 book by Eberhardt, a Stanford University professor and MacArthur ‘Genius’ Grant recipient, takes on additional meaning this year amid widespread protests against racism and oppression.
