Ayesh Awad '24, Pagnapech Ngoun '26, Murilo Ferreira Lopes '27, Nicolas Alvarez '27 and five faculty Emily Elrod, Kristen Mazur, Brittany Riggs, Hwayeon Ryu and Aaron Trocki presented at MathFest, the annual meeting of the Mathematical Association of America on August 7-10, 2024 in Indianapolis.

More than 40 ������Ƶ students participated in summer internships throughout Alamance County as part of ������Ƶ’s Campus Alamance program. This year, the program placed a strong emphasis on the interns becoming contributing members of the organizations they work with.

The incoming cohort of Odyssey Program scholars was welcomed to the university through Odyssey Week, an orientation program introducing them to much of what ������Ƶ has to offer.

Elizabeth Shum ‘27 is gaining professional experience with her first internship at the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. It’s an invaluable opportunity early in her ������Ƶ career, hosted by The Fund for American Studies, and funded by the 2024 DeJoy-Woś Scholarship.

Nineteen Latinx/Hispanic seniors and their families came together on May 23 to celebrate their roots and thank those who supported them at ������Ƶ as part of “¡Celebremos!: Graduates Take Flight.” 

Duque will spend six weeks this summer participating in programming at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.

A recipient of the prestigious Edward W. Doherty and Joan K. Doherty Odyssey Scholarship, Gray '25 serves communities both at home and abroad.
