Yasmeen Lee, senior public health major, and mentor Dr. Stephanie Baker, Assistant Professor of Public Health Studies, present research at the American Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting and Expo held Nov. 2-6 in Philadelphia.

The national celebration, now in its third year, recognizes the success of those who are the first in their families to attend college.

Students presented their research at the annual Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS) in Savannah, Georgia.

The gathering in the Schar Center provided the opportunity for hundreds of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ leaders and supporters to learn more about the campaign and its priorities. 

This gift represents a historic investment in Alamance County students with high financial need. These scholarships are among the top priorities of the upcoming ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ LEADS Campaign, the largest fundraising campaign in the university’s history.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network presented awards Nov. 3 to five members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community as part of its Homecoming festivities

 

The generous gift from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Trustee Louis DeJoy and his wife, Dr. Aldona Wos, of Greensboro, North Carolina, will assist students with exceptional ability and high financial need from Title I schools in Guilford County.
