ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ welcomes this week hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students from 23 colleges and universities for a four-day dance festival that includes classes, workshops, panels and performances, all centered around the theme of the intersection of dance, theater and multimedia.

In its preview of the touring musical "Spring Awakening," the St. Petersburg Times featured a Q&A with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ music theatre alumna Courtney Markowitz '10 in its March 17 edition. Markowitz was cast last spring as one of "Spring Awakening's" main characters, Ilse, in the show's second national tour.

The critically acclaimed play Crimes of the Heart returns this week in the Black Box Theatre as actors and actresses in the Department of Performing Arts share the story of three women betrayed by their passions.

Students led by associate professor Linda Sabo and Haidee Dollak, university accompanist, performed on Dec. 3 for two assemblies at Smith Elementary School in Burlington, N.C.
