The Department of Physical Therapy Education was represented at the 2014 American College of Sports Medicine held in Orlando, Fla. May 27-31.

Teachers and students at Eastlawn Elementary School in Burlington, N.C., spent an afternoon learning about the skeleton and spine safety from students in Associate Professor of Physical Therapy Education Janet Cope's class.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Teaching Fellows and the School of Education co-sponsored a program that shared with future teachers advice and activities that foster more balanced and holistic lifestyles.

Three Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students presented at the School of Education's first "Live Well Teach Well" event for education students. 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ professors Charity Johansson and Peter Felten have co-authored a book that explains how colleges everywhere can better help students learn and develop through meaningful experiences both on and off campus.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ BrainCARE will host a symposium on concussions on Friday, April 11 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Walker Room, Alumni Field House.

Five second-year students, one alum (DPT 2013) and a faculty member from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ DPTE presented their research work on February 21, 2014. 

The Department of Physical Therapy Education was represented at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association held in Las Vegas from Feb. 3-7, 2014.

Graduate students in the DPT and Physician Assistant Studies programs met in January with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's chaplain to reflect on the lives of men and women who are now human donors in the university's anatomy lab.
