The ������Ƶ community is invited to take part in a series of events to celebrate Election Day and advance democracy on Tuesday, November 3.

The Service Learning Faculty Scholars program for the first time will include two cohorts of faculty and staff members ready to further integrate the service-learning pedagogy into the ������Ƶ curriculum.

This is the first in a new series titled "������Ƶ Connected" that highlights how students are involved with campus organizations at ������Ƶ.

Brinkley, the Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair in Humanities and professor of history at Rice University, the CNN presidential historian and a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, delivered the guest lecture for the ������Ƶ community on the same night as the first debate in the 2020 presidential election.

������Ƶ MUN earned multiple awards at the conference, where students from eight different universities competed. The ������Ƶ team received the recognition of “Best Small Delegation,” Griffin Barriss won the “Best Delegate Award,” and Hunter Copeland got a Verbal Commendation.

Damion Blake, assistant professor in political science and policy studies and Faculty Fellow for Race, Ethnicity and Diversity, recently gave a public virtual lecture on policing and race in America during the University of the West Indies #BlackLivesMatter Virtual Seminar Series.

Jason Husser, associate professor of political science and policy studies, and the presidents of ������Ƶ's College Democrat and College Republican organizations appeared in a FOX News story about the U.S. Senate race in North Carolina.
