Jean Rattigan-Rohr, an assistant professor of education, was interviewed by News 14 Carolina on Feb. 19 regarding the benefits to North Carolina schools as a result of the economic stimulus package passed into law this month by Congress and President Barack Obama.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ seniors Ivy Crank, John Planisek, Lindsay Clement and Chase Rumley have been selected to join Teach for America, a highly selective program that recruits recent top college graduates and working professionals to commit two years to teach in low-income communities across the country. They were among 5,857 applicants in the first of four recruiting periods for the program’s 2009-10 academic year.

Commencement ceremonies were held on Aug. 23 for 27 M.Ed. students who completed their studies in the School of Education.

Glenda Crawford, an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ professor of education, has written a new book to help middle and high school teachers develop class lessons that reach all kids in their room, whether gifted scholars, special needs students or adolescents with limited English skills.
