The Emergency Legal Services Program, which assists victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and elder abuse at the Family Justice Centers in Guilford and Alamance counties, was renewed for another two years through a grant from the North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission.

The grant will support a partnership between the Design For America Studio at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and the YMCA of the Triangle to implement new ways to recruit and retain quality lifeguard staff. 

The grant supports a collaboration between the mathematics club at Williams High School in Burlington and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. 

The funding will support her project "Knock and Talk: Public Health-Public Safety Partnerships for Post-Overdose Outreach and Prevention."

Yokley and a collaborator have secured nearly $360,000 in National Science Foundation funding for multi-institutional "research experiences for undergraduates" in mathematical biology.
