ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ professors and students recently participated in the 10th Annual Summer Institute on Reacting to the Past at Barnard College in New York City.

Chris Leupold, an associate professor of psychology and faculty fellow for leadership studies, participated in the Eastern Conference on the Teaching of Psychology from June 18-19, in Staunton, Va.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty and student scholars will participate in a live online discussion entitled From Immersive and Service Learning to SoTL as honorees from the Lilly Greensboro 2010 Conference on Teaching and Learning. Representing ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ were Dr. Prudence Layne, assistant professor of English and coordinator of the African/African-American Studies Program (AAASE), along with five ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ student scholars associated with AAASE.

Christina Benson, Assistant Professor of Business Law at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, has received the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching for 2010.

Sophie Adamson, assistant professor of French, was presented with the Excellence in Teaching Award earlier this year by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ College, the College of Arts and Sciences at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.

A DVD created by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty members Brooke Barnett, Alexa Darby, Mary Knight-McKenna and Ken Calhoun has been accepted for distribution by First Light Video.

Health and Human Performance faculty members, Elizabeth Bailey, Amanda Tapler and Resa Walch, presented in a tutorial session at the Southern College Health Association (SCHA) Annual Meeting in March in Columbia, S.C.

Sirena Hargrove-Leak recently gave a talk, “Engaging Current and Future Engineering Students Using PBS Design Squad,” at the American Society for Engineering Education Southeast Section Meeting.

Stephen Bloch-Schulman, assistant professor of philosophy, has co-authored an article with Spoma Jovanovic (associate professor of communications at UNC-Greensboro) in the latest volume of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
