The $377,800 grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute is designed to improve introductory science experiences for undergraduate students and increase retention of talented STEM students.  

Attorney Patti Ramseur of Ramseur Maultsby LLP in Greensboro will highlight a December ceremony on ������Ƶ's main campus for graduates in ������Ƶ Law's Class of 2022.

The grant to the Gender & LGBTQIA Center (GLC) from the Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women will support the expansion of ������Ƶ's efforts to reduce gender-based violence.

The 2022 ������Ƶ graduate from Garner, N.C., will serve a two-year term on the ������Ƶ Board of Trustees.

The scholarship created by ������Ƶ parents William and Laura Wilson P’23 will help recruit outstanding students who will become graduates the world needs. The couple’s gift has helped fuel the success of the ������Ƶ LEADS Campaign.

The university was recognized for standing out within a pool of more than 700 schools for its sustainability-related policies, practices and programs.  

Four students will “use their voices to advocate for a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive law school environment” while Associate Professor Tiffany Atkins L’11 works to support recommendations of the Law School Ad-Hoc Inclusive Excellence Strategic Planning Committee.

Professor Andy Haile and Assistant Professor Rosa Newman-Ruffin will join with other law professors, attorneys, and legislators to draft bills and offer advice to the North Carolina General Assembly on proposals currently before lawmakers.

The senior vice provost at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania, brings more than 20 years of academic and administrative leadership to the position. 

The section of the road between North O'Kelly and North Williamson avenues will be closed from 3 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
