What alumni say about the program:

Successful former business fellow Ava Rosen

Ava Rosen '23 Analyst at Goldman Sachs

The Business Fellows Program fortifies the unique ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experience. As a Business Fellow, I was not only given a competitive advantage against classmates but my entire post-grad and career path were accelerated. As a First Year, I was awarded one-on-one career advising, and by the time interviewing came around for the big Junior-year Internship, I was exceeding expectations on both Technical and Behavioral questions. Outside of the classroom, peers, faculty members, and staff sought me out for opportunities around campus: I sat on the LSB Board as the Undergraduate Representative, led the 2023 CFA Team to a State Title, and made an impact as President of Women in Finance. If not for the Business Fellows, I would not have learned the skills, built the resilience, and made the connections — both in and outside of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ — to be prepared and excited for what the future holds.

My experience as a part of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Business Fellows program has been nothing short of phenomenal. Being a part of a cohort of people with different backgrounds, identities, and career aspirations has provided me with a unique classroom environment within our Fellows classes, with everyone encouraged to provide their own input on various business topics.
The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ 1010 class my cohort took during our first year, which included workshops provided by the Love School of Business, pushed me to think about the objectives I needed to obtain during my time at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ in order to land a job by the time I graduate.
The Business Fellows program’s emphasis on being globally minded has led to multiple opportunities for traveling abroad as well. The program organized my cohort a January term trip to Dubai during our second year at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, which opened our eyes to how business is conducted in countries that practice Islam. The experience encouraged many of us to travel abroad again while at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ; I went to Japan the following year, using the abroad stipend the program provides all Business Fellows.
It’s fair to say I have nothing but great things to say about the Business Fellows program at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. It has provided me with multiple priceless opportunities and experiences and has connected me with people who have helped make my college experience at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ memorable.

Business Fellows was the highlight of my time at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. Much of my success during college and post-graduation I can credit to the knowledge I gained through my experiences in the Business Fellows program. The cohort pushed me to be a better student and leader. The skills I gained through Business Fellows have had a direct effect on my success in my career as I have been able to continue to grow as a leader and team member in my job. Due to the Business Fellows program, I felt prepared and ready to succeed in my career after graduation. The Business Fellows program was challenging; however, the challenge pushed me to work harder and reap more benefits out of my ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ education than I ever expected. The knowledge and leadership skills that Business Fellows equipped me with during my four years at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has continued to pay dividends in my career.

The Business Fellows Program molded my future both inside and outside of the classroom more than I ever could have guessed on move-in day. College is a time of development in all facets of your life – and the Business Fellows cohort was the perfect group to have around me. Taking on challenges, gaining new experiences, and engaging in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community developed my cohort into confident, knowledgeable leaders who have branched out far and wide in the business world. I can confidently say that the skillset I developed in the program has enabled my success professionally, and the friendships that I formed in the program have extended much further than just my years on campus.
