Mission Statement:

To improve the health and well-being of the underserved populations in Alamance County, NC, and surrounding areas by providing quality physical therapy treatment and fostering student community service and clinical experience.

About HOPE Clinic

The Health Outreach Program of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ (HOPE Clinic) offers free physical therapy services to those uninsured or under-insured in Alamance County and surrounding areas.

The HOPE Clinic is a student-managed pro bono clinic managed and operated by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Doctor of Physical Therapy students. The clinic has been run weekly since November 2013 and was the first student-run pro bono clinic in North Carolina.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ DPTE students work with individuals with various musculoskeletal and neurological impairments under the supervision of volunteer licensed clinicians from the faculty and from the community.

Since The HOPE Clinic’s first year of operation, the clinic has saved the community over $302,691.32 in medical costs and has seen over 1,838 patients. Over 25 different licensed physical therapists and over 275 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ DPTE students have served at the clinic.

Orthopedic Conditions

  • Spine pain or injury
  • Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand pain or injury
  • Hip, knee, ankle and foot pain or injury
  • ³§±è´Ç°ù³Ù²õ-°ù±ð±ô²¹³Ù±ð»åÌý¾±²ÔÂá³Ü°ù¾±±ð²õ
  • ±Ê´Ç²õ³Ù-²õ³Ü°ù²µ¾±³¦²¹±ôÌý°ù±ð³ó²¹²ú¾±±ô¾±³Ù²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô

Neurologic Conditions:

  • Post-stroke
  • Parkinson disease
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Spinal Cord Injury

Cardiopulmonary conditions

  • Post-COVID
  • Myocardial infarction (e.g., heart attack)

How to Donate to the HOPE Clinic

  1. ³Õ¾±²õ¾±³ÙÌý
  2. The site will default to entering $100 into the “ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Greatest Needs” box. If you only wish to donate to the HOPE Clinic, make sure to delete the 100 from the “ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Greatest Needs” box before proceeding.
  3. The default option is giving a one-time amount. You may also choose to give a monthly amount or an annual donation.
  4. In the search box at the top, type in “HOPE Clinic”.
  5. In the HOPE Clinic box, click “+Add to my gift” & enter the amount you wish to donate.
  6. Click “Proceed” at the bottom of the screen & confirm the amount is correct. Then click “Proceed” again.
  7. Fill out the “About You” page with your information.
  8. Click on one of the payment option buttons at the bottom of the screen.
  9. Fill in your payment information & click “Finish and pay”.
  10. You’re done! Thank you for donating!!
