In 2026, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ launched a brand-new Study USA DC summer program called  This program included housing, a unique Core Capstone, personal assistance locating and applying to internships, cultural and historical enrichment activities, and networking with alumni and industry professionals!

Student Life

All on-site staff who work with Study USA programs go through Student Life trainings so they are equipped to handle the variety of situations students may encounter living in a new city. On-site staff also receive AlertTraveler alerts in their respective locations. Permanent on-site staff are CPR certified. ALL of  still apply at all National Campus Program locations.

Fall and Spring Opportunities

For students interested in living in DC during the fall or spring, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has a partnership with  TWC offers classes and provides an internship and housing. All majors are welcome.

All students who enroll in Study USA DC are required to complete an internship. A major goal of the program is developing deep and meaningful connections with industry professionals. An important way of developing those connections is through internships based in DC. Students learn what it means to be a professional, how to create and build a professional network, and apply what they have been learning in the classroom to a professional experience.

Students are not placed in internships; they work with the Assistant Director of Career Services for Study USA to apply and interview for internships.

A student’s registered internship and participation in Study USA DC will appear on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experiences Transcript (EET). This transcript documents a student’s participation in the five program areas that make up the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experiences: Global Engagement (Study Abroad/Study USA), Service, Leadership, Internships, Undergraduate Research Collectively, these programs reflect important values which add to the total college experience and prepare students as a lifelong learners and citizens. Official copies of student’s ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Experience Transcript can be ordered along with official academic transcripts through the Registrar’s Office online.

Serena Crosby-Brown is the admissions counselor for Washington, D.C. She holds information sessions, visits high schools, and attends college fairs. High school students who are interested in learning more about ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ are encouraged to reach out to Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌýattend local events to learn more about the university.

°¿³Ü°ùÌýOffice of Alumni Engagement supports an active D.C. regional alumni chapter. Follow the chapter’s Instagram account @elonindc for updates. Join the  group, too. Each fall, the chapter holds a Welcome to the City event for new alumni to the area. All upcoming alumni events can be found on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Alumni Calendar.

If you are a DC-based alumnus in need of career support, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has a dedicated career services professional to support you at no cost. Lasse Palomaki supports ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumni nation-wide.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is seeking partnerships with Washington-based companies, non-profits, government agencies, and community organizations to provide impactful internship opportunities for our students during the upcoming summer term. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ D.C. belongs to the Washington Programs Consortium (WPC). The Washington Program Consortium provides a forum for practitioners in Washington, D.C. to discuss programming, trends and best practices in experiential education. National Campus team members attend the monthly meeting.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ does not have extra housing for non-Study USA students. If you have secured a summer internship in DC, some local DC universities offer housing for students from other universities. Be sure to look at when each school’s housing starts and ends and when your internship starts and ends to be sure it aligns.
