A group of seniors in Professor Marna Winter’s "Principles of Learning and Teaching Language Arts and Social Studies" methods course is restoring the pre-civil war one room schoolhouse in collaboration with Siler Rothrock.
The Cable School is located behind Alumni Fieldhouse in Rhodes Stadium. Winter’s class has been charged with the task of researching the kind of furnishings found in a school house during this time period.
The student’s work will culminate in a research project to be completed by the end of the fall semester, and will be used in obtaining furniture for the school house. .
