Saturday’s match between Ƶ and High Point was an exciting opening to the women’s club soccer season. A high intensity game showcased the skills of both team, but Ƶ dominated for the most part, however, could not capitalize on some opportunities by the net. Sara Fopiano passed up the line to Rosie Ruzzi, who scored the first goal within the first seven minutes of the first half. A questionable call was made against Ƶ in the box, granting HPU a penalty kick which they scored on. With a few minutes left in the half, Erin O’Leary aggressively won the ball and assisted in Julia Weinstein’s goal. With 3 minutes left in the game, HPU capitalized, evening the score to 2-2
