ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ student featured in Cambodian media

Khmer Times, an English-language news outlet in Cambodia, recently featured ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ senior Usaphea Vanna. 

An English-language news outlet in Cambodia recently featured the accomplishments of Usaphea Vanna, an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ junior and Odyssey Program scholar who is majoring in biochemistry. 

Titled “Cambodia’s future leading biochemist,” the article by Chhum Chaivathanak in Khmer Times highlights the experience she has had since arriving at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ in 2016. She’s one of a number of graduates of the Jay Pritzker Academy in Siem Reap, Cambodia, to attend ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ. 

As an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ student, she’s excelled in her pursuit of a degree in biochemistry despite the challenges that come with learning in a foreign country. “I was prepared before going there,” she said of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ. “However, I have difficulties with vocabulary sometimes when I do my readings. It is normal though because most of my classes are about science and there are a lot of scientific words.”
