ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ will be taking the 46th annual athletics award banquet online on Monday, May 11.
Throughout the day, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics will celebrate its student-athletes and their accomplishments via the department and program social media channels as it recognizes and remembers many of the outstanding achievements of the 2019-20 academic year.
The day will start with a message from Director of Athletics Dave Blank on ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s social media channels, with Blank’s message followed throughout the day by the university’s 17 athletic programs as they honor student-athletes and remember highlights from their seasons. Because athletic competitions were canceled for the remainder of the year on March 13 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the three department-wide awards – the Stein H. Basnight Outstanding Athlete of the Year, Browne Memorial Sportsmanship and A.L. Hooke Scholar-Athletes honors – will not be awarded for 2019-20.
