Lindsey Harris '08 escaped the fighting in the Republic of Georgia in August and is awaiting her next assignment with the Peace Corps. She chronicles her experience in an essay titled "Goodbye Georgia."

Beginning next month, members of ������Ƶ’s Alumni Chapters will continue their commitment to service by volunteering around the country as part of national Make A Difference Day.

Freshmen gathered in Alumni Gym to pledge their commitment to honesty, integrity, responsibility and respect — the foundation of ������Ƶ’s honor code — at the university’s third Call to Honor ceremony Thursday, Sept. 11.

Political analyst Charlie Cook predicted a “photo finish” in this year’s presidential election during his visit to ������Ƶ Monday in which he also weighed in on challenges for Democrat Barack Obama and the choice of Sarah Palin as the Republican vice presidential nominee.

More than 200 recent graduates have made gifts and pledges to join IGNITE, ������Ƶ’s new young alumni giving program that was launched in August.
