Students advance to international round of moot court competition

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law’s Media and International Law Moot Court Team, comprised of Ben Kempton L’14 and Craig Martin L’15, advanced to the quarterfinals in the Americas Round of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, held at Cardozo Law School in New York, N.Y. The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ team’s performance in the Americas Round qualified them for the final International Round of the Price Moot, to be held in April at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England.

Four ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law alumni named Super Lawyers Rising Stars

Leslie P. Lasher L'09, Andrew Nettleman L'09, Stephen Shaw L'10 and Ryan H. Stewart L'09 have been selected as 2014 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers rating service, a recognition earned by no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys 40 or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

Luke Bierman named dean of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ has named Luke Bierman, a highly accomplished attorney, legal scholar and teacher, and national leader in experiential legal education, to be the next dean of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law. 

David Levine leads national effort for transparency in Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations

Levine continued to detail implications of secrecy in international law making. 

Henry Gabriel elected to third term on UNIDROIT governing council

With 63 member states, UNIDROIT seeks to harmonize law across the globe through international conventions and the production of model laws. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law Professor Henry Gabriel was the sole candidate from the United States, having been nominated to the governing council by the United States Department of State.
