There are several events taking place for Earth Week this year. Attend as many events as you can for a chance to win various prizes.

Hayhoe’s talk will focus on the importance of calling for systemic change to tackle the climate crisis.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Farmer’s Market runs every Thursday at the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Community Church parking lot from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (271 N. Williamson Ave., ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ).

The university has earned a STARS Silver rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

The grant is from the National Earth Science Teachers Association and will support an ongoing collaborative project called “Living Land Legacy: Habitat Restoration and Conservation at Providence Montessori."

Envisioning ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s sustainability goals is a process of reflecting on strong collaborations and business practices that already exist.

Campbell's role as an intern for the Haw River Assembly is to conduct surveys of several streams and tributaries in the Haw River watershed with the goal of contributing to research on the overall health of the watershed.

Marielle Costa-Helmsteadt works to encourage conversations about sustainability at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.

The Sustainable Alumni Speaker Series allows current ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students to connect with alumni working in sustainability-related fields.

Applications are currently open for Sustainability Research Grants, as part of the Sustainability Research Scholars program. The program addresses sustainability through faculty-mentored undergraduate research.
