Peter Lindstrom ’94 awarded major grant from U.S. Department of Energy

Peter Lindstrom ’94 received a $2.5 million Early Career Research Program grant from the U.S. Department of Energy for research he is conducting at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif. Lindstrom is a computer scientist in the lab's Center for Applied Scientific Computing.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ students win national finance/accounting contest

A team of four ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ business school students won first place this month in a national case competition that measured the ability to interpret, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and communicate a solution to a management accounting problem.

New ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumni to join Teach for America

Nineteen ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumni from the Class of 2011 will return to the classroom this fall as part of Teach for America, a national nonprofit that recruits and trains new college graduates to help erase educational inequities found in many urban and rural low-income communities. It is the largest number of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumni ever selected into the program for the same academic year.

Tom Nelson, Kevin Burrows G’10 help build historical society’s website

Kevin Burrows G'10, of the School of Communications’ iMedia graduate program, and Tom Nelson, an associate professor from the School of Communications, traveled to Cloud County, Kan., the week of May 22, 2011, to construct an interactive website for the county’s museum and historical society.
