Former Phoenix linebacker Chad Nkang has signed a contract to play with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

A 2009 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumna will have a documentary she produced as a student broadcast this month on One Africa TV. Erin Barnett's film, "My Name is Anita," introduces viewers to Anita Isaacs, a former Periclean-in-Residence at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ and an HIV/AIDS activist in Namibia.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ alumnus Preston Williams Jr. ’09 was named one of four recipients of this year’s Diane Kent-Parker First Year Teacher Award in the Wake County Public School System, which serves more than 139,000 students in North Carolina’s second most populous county.
