Some of the top students on campus were honored April 24, 2010, during an annual awards program that recognizes the accomplishments of African-American students at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s commitment to sustainability has earned the university the distinction of being named one of the “greenest” schools in the country. The university’s profile is included in The Princeton Review's Guide to 286 Green Colleges, which was released April 20 and profiles the nation’s most environmentally-responsible campuses.

Jennifer McCullough-Warhurst '03 and Andrew Hogan L'10 are among the 10 semifinalists in the TCBY Store Giveaway, a national competition to win a TCBY franchise. To make it into the final five, they will need the support of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community.

A major gift by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ trustee Jeanne Robertson and her husband Jerry will provide lead funding for a renovation project for Alumni Gym in Koury Center. The project will upgrade ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's home for basketball and volleyball, convocations and other large campus events.

Playing a round of golf with former ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ football players. Tailgating with members of the Phoenix Club. And watching the Phoenix football team play at Rhodes Stadium. ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alums and sports fans don’t have to wait until fall to get a day like that. All three events are part of the 9th annual Spring Football Game & Tailgate on Saturday, April 24.

Lindsay Travis Bedford ‘05 will be named the Autism Society of North Carolina’s "Teacher of the Year" on April 24, 2010, during the organization’s annual conference.
