Manny Campos and Stephanie Hernández Rivera completed the LatinxEd Fellowship, a statewide program focused on educational access and equity. Both returned to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ with renewed purpose shaped by the retreat and graduation experiences.

For Edward Hernandez ’27, legacy is rooted in family, heritage and community. From leading LHU and El Centro to mentoring future scholars, his ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ journey reflects the power of giving back and the importance of celebrating Hispanic and Latinx voices.

For the second consecutive year, the university has been recognized by Insight Into Academia, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for its commitment to academic excellence, belonging, and community building.

While ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy students are not required to attend ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Class of 2029 features the most students ever from the university’s college-access program.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is featuring a variety of photos every month to highlight the exceptional learning, work and activities of students, faculty and staff.

Seventy high schoolers will spend the next three weeks taking classes and building relationships through ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s college access and success program for academically promising students in Alamance County with a financial need or no family history of college. 

The senior from Burlington, North Carolina, will become the first ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ student to graduate after completing three signature programs designed to increase access to higher education.

During its annual President’s Reception on May 7, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy recognized the class of Rho scholars who will be graduating from high school this spring.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy has existed for nearly 20 years and now a new team is working to invigorate the college access and success program’s legacy of helping students reach their full potential.
