Four members of the faculty at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law travelled to Florida to participate in the 14th Biennial Conference of the Legal Writing Institute, held June 27 through July 1.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professor Steve Friedland recently spoke to District Court judges for North Carolina at a special evidence seminar for the judges cosponsored by the Administrative Office of the Courts of North Carolina and the UNC School of Government at Chapel Hill.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professors Andrew Haile and Thomas Molony analyzed a recent ruling of the Delaware Chancery Court and one from the North Carolina Business Court as they continued their "Business Law Developments" series in the June, 2010 edition of Notes Bearing Interest, a quarterly publication of the N.C. Bar Association.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professor David Levine will feature several nationally acclaimed scholars on his radio show and podcast Hearsay Culture this summer, including University of Wisconsin Law School professor Shubha Ghosh, Laura DeNardis, Executive Director of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, and law professors Eduardo Penalver of Cornell Law and Sonia Katyal of Fordham Law discussing their recent book, Property Outlaws.

At the 2010 annual meeting of the Business Law, Corporate Counsel and International Law and Practice Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professor Thomas Molony delivered the North Carolina Business Law Update, reviewing the implications of key business and commercial law cases recently decided by North Carolina courts.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professor and criminal law expert Michael Rich is contributing during the month of August as a guest writer for "Snitching Blog," a comprehensive resource on legal developments, legislation, and news stories surrounding criminal informants.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law professor Henry Gabriel recently spoke at the World Bank Roundtable on Responsible Agricultural Development in Washington D.C on UNIDROIT's Role in Food Security and Agricultural Finance. He also spoke at the International Law Institute in Washington D.C. on The Proposed UNIDROIT Protocol on Agricultural Equipment Finance.
