The National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education has recognized Randy Williams, the university’s vice president for inclusive excellence, with its 2026 Rising Star Award for work that “informs and advances the understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence in higher education.”

The National Jurist gave ������Ƶ Law an “A” in its “Justice & Opportunity” ratings, listing the school in its inaugural honor roll for student access, persistence and professional support. ������Ƶ Law is the only law school in North Carolina listed by the influential legal journal.

Lavender Celebration, ¡Celebremos! and Donning of the Kente united 2025 graduates from the School of Law and School of Health Sciences to honor the influence of relationships, culture and authenticity in their academic and professional achievements.

The 182 students in ������Ƶ School of Law’s largest-ever class represent 31 states, 90 undergraduate institutions and hold a variety of experiences in the law and service.

The inaugural director of inclusive excellence for graduate and professional education, Laké Laosebikan-Buggs fosters belonging in ������Ƶ’s graduate programs. She will be recognized by the Triad Business Journal at a June 12 banquet and featured in a special issue later this month.

������Ƶ held Lavender Graduation, ¡Celebremos! and Donning of the Kente, on Dec. 12 for winter graduates in the School of Law and School of Health Sciences.

The Rev. Julie Peeples headlined an evening program co-hosted by ������Ƶ School of Law that brought together dozens of community members who sought a better understanding of religious faith in the United States and its intersection with the rule of law.
