The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law faculty member recently discussed the future of the entertainment industry, legal questions surrounding drone use, and effective ways for the federal government to seek valuable public input on policies and potential trade agreements.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students built professional networks and learned more about opportunities in specific areas of law during a weeklong event welcoming more than 40 alumni back to campus.

Several student groups, in coordination with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's career development, alumni and admissions offices, have organized programs from Feb. 20-25 to showcase the impact and importance of diversity in the legal profession.

In 'Understanding the Recent Executive Order on Immigration,' a panel discussion hosted Feb. 6 at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law, three university faculty members outlined the potential effects of President Donald Trump's approach to immigration in the name of national security.

Recognizing the valuable assets that underrepresented identities bring to careers is both important and empowering. This recognition is especially powerful when listening to experiences through the sharing of candid personal stories. Authentic storytelling can lead us to increased self-discovery while reassuring us that we're not alone on our journeys toward personal and professional growth.

A 5:30 p.m. panel discussion at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law in Greensboro and streamed live to main campus will give the community an opportunity to ask questions of scholars who have closely followed the impact of President Donald Trump's recent decrees.

David L. Morrow II ’07 L’10, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s special advisor to the president and assistant chief of staff, and Gwendolyn Lewis L’13, alumni director at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law, are being honored for their professional achievements, leadership and community involvement.

Rhoda Bryan Billings and Henry E. Frye each received a Chief Justice’s Professionalism Award from the North Carolina Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism. 

Two ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law classes traveled overseas in December to witness firsthand the many opportunities - and complexities - of practicing international law and working in intellectual property.
