LSB Establishes Scholarship in Honor of Former Board of Advisors Chair

The Love School of Business at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ has established a new scholarship in honor of Peter Tourtellot, immediate past chair of the school’s board of advisors. The Peter L. Tourtellot Scholarship will be awarded beginning in April 2011 to an eligible business student.

Richard Jordan has been named Associate Director of Career Services in the Love School of Business. He joins ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ from Lee Hecht Harrison, where he was consultant with the global career management firm’s Raleigh office.
Casey DiRienzo and Tina Das published in Applied Economics Letters

Tina Das, professor of Economics and Casey DiRienzo, associate professor of Economics and associate dean of the Love School of Business, have had their paper, "Assessing terrorist risk and FDI using relative information measures," published in Applied Economics Letters. The paper was co-authored with Anthony Mancuso of SAS Institute in Cary, NC.
Christina Benson a finalist in Master Teacher competition

Earl Honeycutt Publishes Co-Authored Article in Cornell Hospitality Quarterly

Earl Honeycutt, marketing professor and director of the Chandler Family Center for Professional Sales, co-authored an article, “Identifying the Attributes of an Effective Restaurant Chain Endorser,” published Cornell Hospital Quarterly (Vol. 51, No. 2, 2010). Co-authors are Vincent P. Magnini, assistant professor of Hospitality at the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, and Cristel Garcia of the Universita della Svizzera italiana.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ MBA Golf Tournament to be held June 26

The third annual ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ MBA Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, June 26, at Mill Creek Golf Club in Mebane. The tournament is sponsored by the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ MBA Student-Alumni Association. All proceeds will go to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Academy, a college-access program for academically talented high-school students in Alamance County with financial need.
Beta Gamma Sigma inducts students and faculty
