Campus Technologies held its 3rd annual Connected @ ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ event on Aug. 29, 2010, during New Student Orientation. Created to help incoming students learn about the technology available to them on campus, the theme of this year’s show was Family Feud.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ partners with Google to provide student e-mail accounts

Students now have expanded e-mail capability as a result of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's partnership with Google. All student e-mail accounts have been converted to Google’s web-based e-mail service, Gmail. The conversion took place on June 1 and required no action from students. Returning students' e-mail addresses (student@elon.edu) and passwords remain the same. Inbox contents, including calendar appointments and contacts, were automatically transferred to the new Gmail accounts.

Three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ students won top awards last week for their performance in the moot court competition at the 4th annual International Human Rights Law Summer Study in Vilnius, Lithuania, a program co-sponsored by the university’s Center for Public Affairs.
Discovery Program brings new students together

College is the beginning of many new experiences. Challenges such as living on your own, sharing a room, deciding a major, and meeting new friends aren’t always as easy as they seem. By scrambling over rocks on an 8.8 mile hike, canoeing six miles down a river, and helping preserve and maintain trails in the Shenandoah River State Park, 20 incoming students chose to jump start their college experience in a positive way.
