U.S. News & World Report names ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ nation’s top “School to Watch”

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ earns a top national ranking in a new feature included in the 2009 U.S. News & World Report “America’s Best Colleges” guide. The magazine named ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ the top "School to Watch" in a listing of colleges and universities that have made “striking improvements or innovations – schools everyone should be watching.”

The Associated Press reports that the Federal Communications Commission is using the work of an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ team led by Connie Book, associate dean of the School of Communications, in analyzing the DTV transition test which took place in Wilmington, N.C., Sept. 8.

Toddie Peters’ new book to be used by study guide at 18 area churches

A new book co-edited by Rebecca "Toddie" Peters was the subject of a story in the Sept. 6 edition of the Greensboro News & Record. The book, "To Do Justice: A Guide for Progressive Churches," will be used by 18 local churches as a guide for a 13-week study on social justice issues.
