Schedule for New Student Orientation 2008

A full weekend of New Student Orientation activities kicks off Aug. 29, 2008, when residence halls open to incoming freshmen. The schedule for Labor Day weekend includes New Student Convocation, the Ƶ Phoenix football home opener against Richmond and a live performance by singer/songwriter Josh Kelley.

Ƶ alum wins national scholarship

Jaclyn Marie Tordo, a 2008 graduate of Ƶ with a bachelor of arts degree with a major in human services, has received a premiere graduate scholarship from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation to help fund her studies in law and social work at Washington University in St. Louis.

Family Weekend 2008 to be held Sept. 26-28

First-year summer experience of leadership, service, friendship

Hiking to a 3,291-foot summit, canoeing eight miles down a river and removing an invasive plant species to help preserve a park's natural habitat. That is how 18 strangers chose to jumpstart their freshman year at Ƶ. Thanks to Ƶ's Discovery program, they are no longer strangers.
