On Tuesday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 105 of the law school, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law student chapter of the National Lawyers Guild invites the law school community and members of the public to a special forum.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's Business Law Speaker Series will feature mergers and acquisitions expert Lee Lloyd on Monday, March 23 from 12:40 to 1:20 in Room 204. This event is open to members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law community. Student and faculty attendance is encouraged. RSVP requested. Details follow.

The North Carolina Court of Appeals will hold proceedings in the Robert E. Long Courtroom at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law on Tuesday, Feb. 3, followed by a discussion with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students and a reception with judges and members of the legal community.

This tax season dozens of certified members of the student run Tax Law Interest Group at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law will be working with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide to run a free tax clinic available to the Greensboro community at large. The clinic will be making tax help available at no cost to low- and moderate-income taxpayers, especially those 60 years of age and older, for the fourth time since 2012.

Save the Date: The Women’s Law Association (WLA) at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law will host its fifth annual Barbara Sullivan 5k Race for Women's Health on Saturday, March 7.

Students and all members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law community are encouraged to attend the latest in the school's Hot Topics series, featuring Profs. Armijo, Levine and Rich on the criminal, cybersecurity, information, intellectual property, international and media law and policy issues surrounding one of the most high-profile and significant information thefts in computing history.

Law students working on legal recommendations to transform how condemned and vacant homes are revitalized were featured Jan. 6 on WGHP Fox 8 News.  

On Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law - 201 N. Greene St., Greensboro, N.C., the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review will host a symposium on media, regulatory and labor issues in college sports. 

On Saturday, October 18, 2014, f rom 10 am to 2 pm, at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law, 201 North Greene Street, in Greensboro, North Carolina, "Ask a Lawyer Day" will allow members of the Greensboro community to speak with a lawyer about the legal questions they may have, and no fee is charged.

 

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's fifth annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition will take place Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28, 2015.
