ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ partners with Google to provide student e-mail accounts

Students now have expanded e-mail capability as a result of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's partnership with Google. All student e-mail accounts have been converted to Google’s web-based e-mail service, Gmail. The conversion took place on June 1 and required no action from students. Returning students' e-mail addresses (student@elon.edu) and passwords remain the same. Inbox contents, including calendar appointments and contacts, were automatically transferred to the new Gmail accounts.

Janna Anderson leads event at WorldFuture 2010 conference

Janna Anderson, associate professor in the School of Communications, led a special event on issues tied to hyperconnectivity, Web 3.0, cloud computing, user-generated content, social networks, ubiquitous computing and ambient intimacy, and augmented and virtual realities at the WorldFuture 2010 conference hosted by the World Future Society in Boston July 9.
