Simulation Modalities, Equipment, & Spaces
The Interprofessional Simulation Center (IPSC) operates across two locations—ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Charlotte—and provides a comprehensive range of simulation modalities, including Client-to-Class, high-fidelity simulators, simulated participants, and task trainers. Simulation modalities are intentionally selected to provide the level of fidelity necessary to achieve specific learning objectives and optimize learner outcomes.
The IPSC features a diverse array of simulation equipment and immersive learning environments that support repetitive, deliberate practice in a safe and controlled setting. These experiences promote the development of psychomotor, clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills while allowing learners to build confidence before entering clinical practice.
Designed to replicate authentic healthcare environments, each simulation space fosters experiential learning that prepares participants for real-world patient care. The Simulation team adheres to nationally recognized standards of best practice, ensuring that all educational activities effectively integrate simulation modalities and technology to support learner progression from novice to clinical readiness.
