Reception with the legal community – March 4

On Thursday, March 4, from 4 to 5 p.m., ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law will welcome and other special guests from the legal community to socialize with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law students, faculty, and administration, including as a special guest North Carolina Superior Court Judge Andy Cromer. The event will be held in the Cemala Commons on the second floor of the law school.

Commenting on a U.S. magistrate decision that a high school student who posted critical comments about her teacher on Facebook is protected under the First Amendment, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law professor Scott Gaylord explained in news interviews that schools were working to find a balance between protecting free speech and preventing speech that is threatening or inciting dangerous behavior.
