New program connects law and humanities

The law touches every field of study, from biology to sociology to literature, and that interaction is the focus of the Center for Law and Humanities, a new academic initiative that teaches students to use lessons learned in the arts and sciences to examine the way legal questions affect society.

George R. Johnson Jr. named dean of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law

George R. Johnson Jr., a distinguished lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in government service and education, has been named the second dean of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law. Johnson’s appointment by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ President Leo M. Lambert comes after a five-month national search, and is effective immediately.
