ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students Kelsey Roth, Joe Doren, Janison Dillon and Kristen Seum won the team competition in the race. Alex Hazel L’09 won the women’s category and Andy Rinehart won the men’s category.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law alumni Haynes Dallas L’09, Michael Eldredge L’10 and Ryan Stewart L’09, with guest Brandon Ellisen, won the Business Law Association's third inaugural golf tournament on March 2. 

Far from the typical attorneys and legal scholars that the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Leadership Fellows often welcome to speak at the law school, Olympic bobsledder Emily Azevedo proved that leadership comes in all forms. On March 13, Azevedo, a member of the Women’s Olympic Bobsled Team, spoke to students about the struggles and triumphs that led to her successful completion of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law student Julie Dogan describes her experiences bobsledding as a member of the America’s Cup Team, World Cup Team and World Championship team in the NCBA’s “IN Focus” video series.

The Honorable Catherine C. Eagles, United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina, will deliver ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law's 2013 Commencement address on May 25.

On March 9, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law team of Jenifer McCrea L'13, Christian Robin L'14 and John Warren L'13 advanced from preliminary rounds to reach the regional semifinals of the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Washington, D.C.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law's Leadership Fellows hosted a second annual Leadership Academy on February 16, welcoming ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows to collaborate in the examination of global problems and local solutions.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s Study Abroad/International Fair, held February 1, included representatives from five law schools who spoke with students about opportunities for international study.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law team of Chantelle Lytle, Jason Senges and Adam Spivey advanced from preliminary rounds to reach the quarterfinals of the William B. Spong Moot Court Tournament at William & Mary School of Law.

On February 9, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law hosted the spring meeting of the ABA Fourth Circuit Law Student Division. Three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law students contributed significantly to planning this event: , Jenifer McCrea L’13, who served as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s student representative to the ABA this year, and Bill White L’14, who served as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law’s associate student representative to the ABA.
