Judge Teresa Vincent recognized at Women’s Law Association dinner

On April 17 the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law Women’s Law Association celebrated students, faculty and legal professionals at the 5th Annual Women in the Profession Dinner. This year’s honoree for the “Outstanding Woman in the Profession” award was the Honorable Judge Teresa H. Vincent.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law students recognized for pro bono service

At ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law’s April Reception with the Legal Community, 43 students were recognized for significant pro bono and community service, including third-year law student Kaitlin Shimansky who was recognized for contributing the most pro bono hours while at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ with 445 hours logged. 

Trial by Ice: Olympian Emily Azevedo speaks at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law

Far from the typical attorneys and legal scholars that the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law Leadership Fellows often welcome to speak at the law school, Olympic bobsledder Emily Azevedo proved that leadership comes in all forms. On March 13, Azevedo, a member of the Women’s Olympic Bobsled Team, spoke to students about the struggles and triumphs that led to her successful completion of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.
