The Strategic Communications & Media Relations department within University Communications is dedicated to enhancing ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s public presence and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external audiences. This team encompasses the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ News Bureau, Social Media and Internal, Inclusive Excellence and Student Life Communications.
- ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ News Bureau — Crafting and disseminating compelling narratives that highlight the university’s people, achievements and initiatives while raising broader awareness about ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ through media relations efforts. The News Bureau regularly updates Today at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ, the university’s news site.
- Social Media — Management the university’s main accounts, engaging with diverse audiences and providing strategic guidance to social media communicators across campus.
- Internal Communications — Assisting with organizing and creating impactful communications for various internal audiences on campus, ensuring that the university’s message is effectively conveyed in engaging ways across the community.
- Inclusive Excellence Communications — Working in partnership with the Division of Inclusive Excellence to highlight inclusive excellence efforts including communications around diversity, equity, inclusion and other constructs that support belonging and well-being.
- Student Life Communications — Working in partnership with the Division of Student Life to promote the student experience at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ and connect students with resources for support, success and engagement.
