The Center for Leadership (CFL) is focused on supporting students as they learn, practice, and make meaning of being a leader at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and beyond.Ìý Students practice leadership skills in student organizations, through peer mentoring experiences, on and off campus employment, and by volunteering.Ìý The CFL offers leadership programming, leadership coaching, and engagement opportunities.   • Practice your leadership skills with our partner office, ELOA (Experiential Learning & Outdoor Adventures). ELOA, a unit in Campus Recreation, is affiliated with the Center for Leadership and encourages students to challenge themselves by trying the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Challenge Course or joining one of their many trips. Each semester, the ELOA team sponsors approximately 20 trips for students to explore and grow their leadership abilities in dynamic, experiential settings.

Ready to lead at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ? Whether you’re looking for a paid position, an elected office, or a selective leadership opportunity, the Leadership Opportunities Fair is the perfect place to get started. Join us on Wednesday, September 30, from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on Young Commons (rain location: Moseley Living Room) to connect with more than 20 campus offices and organizations. Learn about the application, selection, and election processes, important timelines, and discover the leadership opportunity that’s right for you.

Ongoing Opportunities:

  • Phoenix Leaders Program:Ìý The Phoenix Leaders ProgramÌýis an opportunity for emerging leaders to engage in a reflective leadership journey during their first or second year at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ!Ìý This program equips students with leadership skills through workshops and an overnight retreat.Ìý Our goal is that participants can create positive change at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ after participating in this program.   • Elevate Leadership Program: Elevate invites students preparing for current or upcoming leadership roles to deepen their knowledge.ÌýElevate helps students strengthen their leadership skills through interactive workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences. Designed to empower students at every stage of their leadership journey, Elevate fosters self-awareness, collaboration, and confidence while preparing participants to create positive change on campus and beyond.
  • Leadership Workshops:ÌýThe Center for Leadership (CFL) offers 35 leadership workshops each academic year, providing students with opportunities to develop practical leadership skills and connect with peers.ÌýÌýWorkshops are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15–5:15 p.m., with 19 workshops offered in the fall semester and 16 in the spring semester.ÌýÌýPlease register in advance through PhoenixConnect so we can prepare materials and ensure the best experience for all participants.
