Stay informed throughout the Canvas transition with ongoing updates, resources, and support designed to guide you each step of the way.

As August approaches, additional support resources and planning opportunities are available to help you continue preparing your courses in Canvas.
- Consider (if you haven’t yet) to identify questions early and take full advantage of the support opportunities before classes begin.
- Canvas includes new for quick guidance and to answer “how-to” questions directly within the platform.
- AI features remain disabled, with the exception of the optional available for instructors who choose to use it.
- New , including a three-part Canvas workshop series with Instructure and Canvas Consultation Office Hours, are now available.

24/7 Canvas Support

Canvas now includes 24/7 support provided by Instructure for faculty, staff, and students. Select the Help button in the Global Navigation menu to get assistance with assignments, grading, navigation, and other Canvas questions and features.
This support complements the assistance offered by Teaching and Learning Technologies and is also available to students.
Canvas AI

Canvas includes several AI-powered features. At ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ, these features remain disabled as we continue evaluating how they align with our institutional values and teaching practices.
The is currently available as an optional feature that instructors may choose to use to help develop a customizable starting point for their rubrics. It does not grade assignments or evaluate student work. All other AI features remain disabled at this time.
As additional features are evaluated, we’ll continue to share updates and guidance.
August Training Opportunities

Planning ahead is advised, as the time needed to prepare a course can vary depending on course design, content, and use of Moodle.
To support faculty as August approaches, several new training opportunities are being offered, including a virtual, three-part Canvas workshop series led by Woody Roper, Senior LMS Trainer at Instructure. Topics include:
Canvas Consultation Office Hours will also continue throughout August (currently scheduled for and ) for instructors who would like dedicated time to ask questions and receive one-on-one guidance.
